Episode 24 Paul's Love
Yueniang felt a sudden heartache as the plane took off from the ground. It was a feeling that Yueniang hated as it was miserable as hell. Her mind was suffering from a blackout and all Yueniang could think of was Chen Xi's reaction upon reading her letter to him. Would he keep his promise to receive treatment at the hospital or would he torture himself in despair? Or perhaps she was being too cruel to a man he once(always) loved? Questions rosed non-stop in Yueniang's mind.
'Yueniang, you're back? I heard from Paul that you went to England for some personal business?' Xiufeng asked upon seeing Yueniang standing by the Huang's mansion door.
'Yes.I came straight from the airport. Look who I've brought.' Yueniang said before Zhenzhu appeared from behind Yueniang.
'ZHENZHU?! Am I dreaming? My daughter's back!' Xiufeng led out a cry as soon as Zhenzhu came into her view.
'Zhenzhu! Where have you been all these years? Do you know how much Nya had missed you?' Xiufeng continued as she embraced Zhenzhu.
'Nya! I'm so sorry...I missed you a lot too!' Zhenzhu cried. Seeing Xiufeng and Zhenzhu embracing in a long awaited reunion, Yueniang felt warmth but laments that Yuzhu was not around.
Returning to her home, Yueniang was thrilled to see Paul, Zuye and Ah Tao awaiting anxiously at the gate. As if out of control, Yueniang immediately ran onto Paul before wrapping her arms tightly around him followed by hugging Zuye close to her heart.
'Nya Nya! You're finally back! I missed you very much!'
'Yueniang,...You're back. My wife is back!'
'I missed you both a lot too! And you too, Taojie!' Yueniang exclaimed as she turned towards a red-eyed Ah Tao.
'Taojie, thank you for taking care of Zuye and Paul. Thank you.' Yueniang thanked.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, it is my duty. What matters is that you are back safe and sound. I heard that taking aeroplanes is very dangerous!' Ah Tao said as she put her palms together and prayed at the sky.
That night, Yueniang told Paul about her encounters in London and how Zhenzhu had miraclously agreed to return to Malacca with her. With regards to Chen Xi, Yueniang merely mentioned that Chen Xi was receiving treatment at the hospital.
'Poor lad. But luckily Libbya is by his side to care for him.' Paul commented.
'That's right. I can tell that Libbya loved him a lot.' Yueniang said, trying not to think about Chen Xi.
'Just like how much I loved you. Yueniang, thanks...for coming back to me.' Paul said as he held Yueniang's hands.
'I love you.' Paul continued before giving Yueniang a kiss on the cheek.

Episode 25 Little Nyonya's Little Nyonya
'Yueniang Xiaojie...did you see Chen Xi when you are in England?' Ah Tao asked as she carried on with her daily household chores.
'Please don't blame Ah Tao for being nosey. But Yueniang Xiaojie, I feel that you should not see Chen Xi anymore especially now you have Paul Guye. You know something? He was always looking very sad during the days while you were away.' Ah Tao continued.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, you know what I mean?' Ah Tao added.
'Taojie, I understand...' Yueniang assured with a smile.
For a moment, Yueniang had almost wanted tell Ah Tao about Chen Xi's condition and her parting letter to him. However Yueniang held back the thought as she felt she should not worry Ah Tao anymore.
'Don't worry for me Taojie. My wish now is to focus on Little Nyonya.' Yueniang added. In fact, Yueniang started to feel guilty when she brought up Little Nyonya, the Peranakan restaurant Yueniang had established years ago as she had seemed to neglect it for quite some time. It was Ah Tao who had suggested the brilliant idea of starting a restaurant to showcase Yueniang's superb culinary skills. Interestingly, the signature dish of Little Nyonya is a non-Peranakan herbal chicken soup.
'By the way, how are things with between you and my brother?' Yueniang asked on a lighter note.
'What things...? Nothing much... Everything's the same..' Ah Tao stammered as she started to blush uncontrollably.
'Ha..I heard that my brother had been coming over to Malacca every now and then.. I wonder what's he doing here?' Yueniang teased.
'I....er....We only went out for a few times....er...' Ah Tao stammered again with her face now as red as a tomato.
'Taojie, there's nothing wrong for a couple to go out dating. I'm really happy for you.' Yueniang said while she touched Ah Tao's hot blushed face.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, there...is something I need to ask you for your opinion....' Ah Tao asked timidly. Seeing Ah Tao behaving so weirdly, Yueniang gestured her to ask freely.
'Yidao....He....He proposed to me yesterday!'

Episode 26 Xiufeng's Request
Immediately after she spoke, Ah Tao turned away from Yueniang as though she had just said something really disastrous.
'That's great! Did my brother propose with a gigantic pig trotter?' Yueniang teased as she recalled Yidao once proposed to herself with a pig trotter a decade ago outside the Huang's house. That time, Ah Tao even threatened to scald Yidao with boiling water in order to chase him away.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, please stop teasing me already. I really don't know what to do..' Ah Tao said fustratingly.
'Taojie, you should follow your heart. That's something I've failed and I don't wish you to be like me. Don't tell me you want to be an old maid all your life? Yueniang advised with another tease.
The business at Little Nyonya was extremely good especially during meal times when there were actually long queues outside the restaurant. In no time, Yueniang was glad that she did not had the luxury of time to think about affairs of the heart as she was always busy at Little Nyonya. To focus better, Yueniang had already relinquished the export business of Western goods and had left Liu's Birdnest Company entirely under the care of Yidao. Xiufeng occassionally would come to help out at Little Nyonya as she felt that was the least she could do to repay Yueniang's kindness.
In remembrance for Cheng Sheng, Yueniang never gave up the collection of Peranakan antiques. However instead of selling them at an attractive price, Yueniang decided to keep them personally as she felt that no amount of money could compare to owning pieces of rich Peranakan history.
It was only after lunch time when Yueniang had the chance to rest her tired feet. Being the boss of Little Nyonya, Yueniang had gained the respect of many by working personally with the workers.
'Aunt Xiufeng! What brings you here today? I thought you are not feeling well?' Yueniang asked Xiufeng as she appeared after lunch time at Little Nyonya with Zhenzhu beside her.
'Yueniang, I need a favor from you. This Zhenzhu had been looking for a job since she came back but to no avail. Thus, I hope that you can let her help out here for the time being until she finds a job.' Xiufeng explained while she pulled Zhenzhu over.
'But...We do everything here...I'm afraid..' Yueniang said as she felt that there was no position in Little Nyonya that could fit Zhenzhu. Afterall, Zhenzhu was a mistress once and had studied overseas.
'I can do anything you do.' Zhenzhu interrupted. For an instance, Yueniang felt weird that Zhenzhu had volunteered to help out.
'Well, I guess if she don't mind, I am fine.' Yueniang said, giving Xiufeng an approved look.
'Thanks a lot Yueniang. Zhenzhu, make sure you behave and listen to Yueniang. You got it?' Xiufeng thanked Yueniang before turning to Zhenzhu.
'Yes yes yes. I'm not a teenager anymore. Stop treating me like one. I know what I'm supposed to do.' Zhenzhu defended.

Episode 27 The Pig Trotter
It was dinner time when Yidao appeared at Yueniang's house. Both Yueniang and Paul had seemed surprised at Yidao's sudden visit except for Ah Tao. Ah Tao appeared to be anticipating his arrival as Yueniang noticed that Ah Tao was not being herself and kept looking at the door from the dinner table.
'Sorry for disturbing at this hour as the train was delayed.' With that, Yidao placed a very large tray on the coffee table. On the large tray laid a gigantic pig trotter with a red packet sticked onto it.
'I'm here to ask for the hand of Ah Tao. Please marry me, Ah Tao. My feelings for you is true.' Yidao continued as he stared at Ah Tao.
Paul was shocked at the gift while Yueniang let out a soft chuckle before whispering into Paul's ears. Ah Tao on the other hand, had buried her face in her palms.
'Taojie, what's your say? Don't be shy?' Yueniang teased as she stood up and helf Ah Tao's hands.
Ah Tao had seemed too embarassed to react but Yueniang could see that Ah Tao was smiling in sweetness.
'What are you doing? You are embarassing me.... I'm just a maid here...' Ah Tao finally spoke.
'Taojie, everyone in this family had never treated you as a maid before. You are part of the family and I really hope you can be with my brother.' Yueniang said while she put Yidao's hands and Ah Tao's hands together.
'Yes, Ah Tao. Please be my wife.' Yidao repeated, holding Ah Tao's hands close to his heart. Although Ah Tao remained silent, she gave an approving nod that even Zuye started clapping.
The next day at Little Nyonya, Yueniang was surprised to see Ah Tao coming in after lunch time.
'Taojie, why are you here? Aren't you supposed to be with my brother? You two must have a lot to discuss and prepare for the upcoming wedding right?' Yueniang asked.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, I've just saw Yidao off at the train station. I've told him to settle matters at his company first as work is more important.' Ah Tao explained.
'Not bad Taojie. You've been learning the ropes on becoming a dutiful wife!' Yueniang said as she laughed.
'Don't tease me anymore. Anyway, how's that Zhenzhu? Is she giving you any problem at work?' Ah Tao whispered as she looked around the restaurant for Zhenzhu.
'Zhenzhu's in the kitchen helping out. So far so good.' Yueniang replied.
'That's weird. I remembered she used to hate the kitchen. Are you sure Zhenzhu sincerely wantsto help out here? Ah Tao interrupted.
'Taojie, what happened between me and her had been the past. Morever this time, Aunt Xiufeng had personally asked for this favor. I believe Zhenzhu will behave herself.' Yueniang assured before urging Ah Tao to return home to rest.
Out of a sudden, a scream echoed from the kitchen.

Episode 28 Zhenzhu's Pride
'What happened? Are you all right?' Yueniang asked Zhenzhu after dashing into the kitchen to discover the floor spilled with hot chicken broth and an overturned pot. Ah Hua, a kitchen helper was standing opposite Zhenzhu, who was fuming with anger.
'What happened?' Ah Tao asked Ah Hua.
'She asked me to move the pot of chicken broth away as she needed the stove. I said I was busy and asked her to hold on but before I knew it, she pushed the entire pot onto the floor.' Ah Hua replied timidly.
'What? How dare you accuse me?! You are just a kitchen helper. Yueniang! You must sack that lazy bum!' Zhenzhu complained angrily.
'Did you push that pot of chicken broth onto the floor on purpose?' Ah Tao questioned Zhenzhu before Yueniang could react.
'What did you say? Ah Tao, you are only a servant. Watch what you say.' Zhenzhu said while pointing her finger at Ah Tao.
'Zhenzhu...Taojie don't mean-' Yueniang tried to explain.
'That's enough! You people just want to humiliate me!' Zhenzhu interrupted before running out of the kitchen. As she disappeared into the alley, Yueniang simply shook her head in disappointment.
It was already close to ten at night when Yueniang and Ah Tao were preparing to leave Little Nyonya. The rest of the helpers had already left leaving Yueniang and Ah Tao to settle the accounts for the day.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, do you think we should expand Little Nyonya? The business had been very good and Yidao told me we could set up a branch in Singapore.' Ah Tao suggested on the way home.
'That's a good idea Taojie. And you should really stop calling me Xiaojie. Now that you are marrying my brother, you are consider as my senior. How can I allow you to call me that? Yueniang said.
'You will always be my Xiaojie. I...Oh no.' Ah Tao suddenly stopped.
'I left the supper for Paul Guye in the restaurant's kitchen. Yueniang Xioajie, you wait for me a while. I'll go back and get it.' Ah Tao continued as she started making her way back to Little Nyonya.
Outside Little Nyonya, Ah Tao was surprised to see the kitchen lights on. As she entered the restaurant, she was shocked to see Zhenzhu preparing to leave the kitchen.
'Zhenzhu? What are you doing here?' Ah Tao asked suspiciously.

Episode 29 The Good News
'I...I was just back for my watch. I left it in the kitchen this afternoon. Can't I? Zhenzhu replied haughtily. On seeing Zhenzhu's temper rising and not wanting Yueniang to wait too long alone, Ah Tao decided to let the matter rest and not to probe further. Zhenzhu left shortly soon after.
Later, Ah Tao told Yueniang about Zhenzhu's suspicious appearance at Little Nyonya earlier on but Yueniang was sure that Ah Tao had been over sensitive.
The next day proved to be a busy day again for Little Nyonya especially when Yueniang was looking pale and restless.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, are you all right?' Ah Tao asked in a concerned tone.
'I'm fine. Don't worry Taojie. By the way, did you see Zhenzhu?' Yueniang asked.
'There was no sign of her since morning. She must be tired of working here already.' Ah Tao replied as she signalled Yueniang to continue to rest in her seat.
'I'm all right.....I...-'
'Yueniang Xiaojie!' Ah Tao screamed upon seeing Yueniang collapsing out of a sudden.
The next moment Yueniang opened her tired eyes, she realised that she was nice and warm in her bed. The family doctor was standing by her bed with Paul and Ah Tao who seemed to look anxious and happy at the same time.
'Did I just fainted?' Yueniang asked weakly.
'Yes you did.' Paul answered while he came forward and caressed Yueniang's forehead and held her arms.
'You fainted at the restaurant earlier on. You've given Taojie a great shock you know?' Paul added as he looked at Ah Tao.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, you've just scared the daylights out of me when you just collapsed without a word. I'm glad you are fine now and...' Ah Tao said smilingly.
'And?' Yueniang asked in a confused tone.
'My dear wife Yueniang, the doctor just confirmed that you are pregnant.' Paul replied softly into Yueniang's ears.

Episode 30 Little Nyonya's Trouble
Yueniang was awaken by the chirping of the swallows outside the window as the first ray of sunlight flooded the room. After a good night's rest, Yueniang felt much better and was still feeling euphoric about her pregnancy. Afterall, it had been eight long years since she got married to Paul and somehow she had felt guilty towards him for not bearing him any children yet. Just as Yueniang was wondering where had Paul been so early in the morning, the bedroom door swinged open.
'Good morning Yueniang. How are you feeling? Look what I've got for you.' Paul said while he walked towards the bed with a tray full of food in his hands.
'Fresh breakfast from Paul's Kitchen. Haha..' Paul joked as he helped Yueniang up from the bed.
'Thanks Paul. Don't you have to work today?' Yueniang asked.
'I've decided to stay home today to take care of you especially you are now in such delicate condition.' Paul replied as she started to feed Yueniang.
A sense of sweetness filled Yueniang's heart upon hearing Paul's words.
''Thanks Paul. I am feeling much better and I should be going to the restaurant later. Taojie will not be able to cope.' Yueniang said.
'Paul, I will take care of myself and moreover Taojie will be around to look out for me. Don't worry, anyway I cannot be lying on the bed until I give birth right?' Yueniang continued as Paul gave her a disapproving look. Just before Paul could reply, there was a loud slam from the living room. It was Ah Tao.
'Yueniang Xiaojie! Yueniang Xiaojie!' Ah Tao shouted all the way into Yueniang's bedroom and immediately apologised for barging in when she saw Paul inside too.
'What is it? You sound hysterical.' Paul asked.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, something bad happened! I've ran all the way back....' Ah Tao said while still catching her breath.
'Taojie, relax. Tell me slowly. Is there anything wrong at Little Nyonya?' Yueniang asked as she got up from her bed.
'Yyess! Yes! There were health inspecters looking for you and....and.... I don't know how to put it....You must follow me!' Ah Tao said while she kept nodding her head.
Immediately, Yueniang together with Paul rushed to Little Nyonya to find out what had happened that had caused the intense panic in Ah Tao.
Upon reaching Little Nyonya, it seemed as though nothing serious had happened as there was the same old lunchtime queue outside the restaurant. However as Yueniang got up to the crowd, she realized that it was no queue but a group of angry customers behind two man dressed in white uniform.
'Excuse me, I am the boss of Little Nyonya. Is there anything I can help?' Yueniang said to one of the man in white unform after managing to squeeze past the angry mob.
'I am a health inspector from the Public Health Department. We've received multiple complaints of food poisoning cases and the victims were all found to have last patronised your restaurant.' The man said as he flashed his pass at Yueniang who was almost at a loss for words.
'No...It can't be..There must be a mistake!' Yueniang defended.
'Mistake or not, we will be bringing some samples back to test. Until the investigation completes, the restaurant must remain closed.' The inspecter said coldly.

Episode 31 The Trouble With Zhenzhu
'Don't worry Yueniang. I'm sure the truth will be out soon enough. But it's weird. I wonder how can such things happen? Paul consoled.
'I don't know Paul. I believe that it is all a misunderstanding. Hygiene has always been the top priority in Little Nyonya and the ingredients that I use are always fresh. How could it happen? Yueniang said as she thought hard. Out of a sudden, Ah Tao finally spoke.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, you remember that night when I told you I saw Zhenzhu behaving suspiciously in the kitchen after we left? She must be the one behind this!' Ah Tao said in a very sure tone.
'Zhenzhu? No.....She can't be...' Yueniang mumbled as she thought harder.
'By the way Taojie, did you see Zhenzhu this morning?' Paul suddenly asked.
'No...I didn't see her though.' Ah Tao replied quickly.
'And she wasn't at the restaurant just now as well. This is fishy.' Paul commented before suggesting Yueniang to make a trip to the Huang's house to check. Yueniang agreed.
'Yueniang? Paul? What brings you here?' Xiufeng asked surprisingly as she answered the door.
'Aunt Xiufeng, is Zhenzhu in?' Yueniang asked politely.
'Zhenzhu? I thought she went to Little Nyonya? Don't tell me she went missing again?' Xiufeng said, looking very worried.
It was a hard time calming Xiufeng down after she had learnt that Zhenzhu went missing again. Yueniang decided to keep the food poisoning incident from Xiufeng in fear that she will think too much. After leaving the Huang's house, Yueniang made a sudden decision to visit the victims at the hospital.
'What? Yueniang Xiaojie, you can't do that. Didn't you see how angry their family members are? If you appear in front of them now, they will kill you!' Ah Tao advised hurriedly.
'Taojie, my conscience is clear and they are afterall all my loyal customers. How can I be so cold blooded? I'm sure that they will understand.' Yueniang assured Ah Tao.
'Paul, are you with me?' Yueniang turned to Paul. Paul nodded and the trio started making way to the hospital.
At the ward that houses the food poisoning victims, non-stop moanings were heard. In one of the beds, Yueniang recognised a familiar face.
'Mr Lee, are you feeling better? I'm really sorry for what had happened and I promise that I will get to the bottom of this matter.' Yueniang said. Mr Lee was one of her regular customer working near Little Nyonya who had never failed to patronise the restaurant at lunch time.
'So you are the boss of Little Nyonya? You still have the cheek to come here after what you had done to my husband?' A lady beside Mr Lee shouted before Mr Lee could react. In an instance, the crowd inside the ward started turning over to the sudden commotion.
'Yueniang, we better leave.' Paul warned Yueniang as Ah Tao shielded Yueniang with her body. Indeed, the crowd was getting more and more agitated as some had recognised Yueniang as the boss of Little Nyonya. Fortunately, Paul had grabbed Yueniang out of the ward in time before the furious mob managed to block the exit.
'That was close. Yueniang Xiaojie, what should we do now?' Ah Tao asked on the way home.
'I don't know.' Yueniang said in a daze as she turned to Paul.
'There is nothing we can do now but to wait for the investigation results. Whatever that's going to happen, I promise I will be by your side.' Paul assured Yueniang.

Episode 32 The Verdict
For the next two days, time passed so slowly that Yueniang could not help but dwelled over the future of Little Nyonya. The reputation that had been established over the years seemed to had crashed to pieces with the food poisoning case. Was Zhenzhu behind it all? Yueniang dread to think further.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, you have a call.' Ah Tao informed as Yueniang was lost in her thoughts.
It was Xiufeng.
'Hello? Is this Yueniang?'
'Yes, Aunt Xiufeng. What's up?'
'Oh.. Zhenzhu's back...'
'Is it? How's she?'
'She's drunk again. Regarding the food poisoning case, you don't think it was her, do you?'
'What? How did you know?'
'I saw it from the papers. Trust me, I believe Zhenzhu wouldn't do such a thing. She may be wilful but she wouldn't dare to commit such atrocities.'
'I understand, Aunt Xiufeng.'
After the call, Yueniang was feeling very vexed. Yueniang had vowed to find out the truth behind the incident and yet she was worried that Ah Tao might be right. After all, Zhenzhu had agreed to return to Malacca too readily and it would not be surprising if Zhenzhu had indeed wanted to plot against her.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, are you still thinking about Little Nyonya?' Ah Tao asked.
Yueniang simply shook her head gently and remained silent.
'Yueniang Xiaojie, look on the bright side. Perhaps it's a blessing in disguise? Maybe Heaven wants you to rest well at home to take care of your body and the child inside you?' Ah Tao consoled as she gave Yueniang a bowl of brewed birdnest.
'Taojie, you really think so? But Little Nyonya has been the fruit of my labour. I hate to see it go.' Yueniang said.
'But, this time it seems serious. I kept having the same dream that Little Nyonya will be forced to close down...' Ah Tao mumbled sadly.
'Look Taojie, even if that's the end of Little Nyonya, we can always work out something. I will not give up so easily. Remember the days when I had to deliver the bird's nest to Singapore to sell? Although we had met with so many obstacles but we still succeed in the end. It will be the same this time.' Yueniang said while holding up the bowl of bird's nest in her hands.
Just then, Paul returned and Yueniang ran to him immediately. Paul had just came back from the Public Health Department office after receiving news that the investigation had ended.
'How's it? Is the restaurant going to be closed?' Yueniang asked anxiously.
'The investigations showed that the chicken broth sample taken from Little Nyonya had been contaminated with chemicals believed to have come from a household detergent. The department had came to the conclusion of neglience on the restaurant's side.' Paul said as he rested his hands on Yueniang's shoulder.
'Little Nyonya will be fined and ordered to compensate the victims with its license being suspended for two months.' Paul continued.
'Suspended? You mean after two months, Little Nyonya would be able to resume business as usual?' Yueniang asked.
Paul gave a resolute nod and Yueniang let out a great sigh of relief.

Episode 33 The Showdown
Although Little Nyonya's license was merely being suspended for two months, Yueniang was still having a headache about the compensation and the fine that followed the verdict. Despite living a thrifty life, Yueniang realised that her savings was only enough to pay for the fine,
'Here, take it.' Paul said as he handed a cheque over to Yueniang.
'Paul, I can't. I cannot take it. The sum's too big.' Yueniang rejected.
'You're my wife and it's only right that I'm helping you.' Paul insisted, pushing the cheque into Yueniang's hands.
'I....I don't know what to say....' Yueniang muttered,as she felt that she had been further indebted to Paul.
'Just promise me to take care of yourself and our baby. And also, perhaps it's time we find the culprit behind all these?' Paul said. Yueniang was baffled at Paul's words at first but soon realised what he meant.
Reaching the Huang's house, it was already dinner time. As Xiufeng opened the door, Yueniang saw that Zhenzhu and Guihua were also at the dinner table.
'Yueniang?' Guihua called out in a surprised tone as Zhenzhu merely continued eating.
'Mama.' Yueniang greeted. For a moment, Yueniang had wanted to leave as she did not want the matter to be exposed to Guihua knowing that she might not be able to take another blow. But before Yueniang could say another word, Paul spoke.
'The verdict is out and Little Nyonya's food had been confirmed to be contaminated.'
Upon hearing Paul's words, Guihua and Xiufeng turned towards Yueniang with a puzzled look.
'Zhenzhu, what do you have to say?' Paul asked sternly as he looked at Zhenzhu with piercing eyes.
'What? I don't know what are you talking about.' Zhenzhu replied loudly.
'Taojie had already told us what happened. She saw you behaving strangely that night at the kitchen. Did you do anything to the ingredients in the kitchen? Paul asked fiercely.
'What? Don't you accuse me just because that you are a lawyer. I did not add anything to the chicken broth!' Zhenzhu yelled as she slammed the table.
'Did you say chicken broth? The report had just been out and we have not told anyone that it was the chicken broth that was contaminated.' Yueniang interrupted as soon Zhenzhu had unwittingly admitted being the culprit.
'Zhenzhu! How could you!' Xiufeng screamed.
'Nya! So what if it was me? That little *** deserved it! She deserved to be punished! I did not do anything wrong!' Zhenzhu yelled louder.
'Listen little ***. This is only the beginning. I will make sure you suffer the worst fate ever!' Zhenzhu continued before dashing out of the house.
Before Yueniang and Xiufeng could recover from their shock, there was a loud thud.
The wheelchair bounded Guihua had just fallen from her wheelchair, laying unconsciously on the cold hard floor.
